Building things and learning stuff.

I started out in graphic design in my mid-teens creating 3D visuals using open-source 3D software like Blender. That early interest naturally pulled me towards more technical work later, where during college I shifted further into programming and computing, earning an Extended Diploma with three distinctions in IT & Computing at Richard Huish College.

While at college, I was approached by the Technology Enhanced Learning team from the NHS to explore the potential of virtual reality for medical training. What began as a small proof-of-concept evolved into a fully developed VR training experience, which is now in use by that NHS trust. That project later became the foundation for Practical Reality Labs, a company I co-founded with fellow IT student and friend; Ben Heather, where we continue developing and refining the product alongside our other professional work.

After finishing college, I completed a design apprenticeship at Evo Agency, where I built my strong foundation in UI/UX, web design, and professional workflows, learning from the talent and experience of the Evo team how to balance creative ambition with real-world constraints, deadlines, and client needs as well as earning another distinction at the end of the course.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of design and development. Through Orbitive, I focus on building thoughtful, unique web experiences that prioritise interaction quality and user experience as much as visual and brand identity.

In my free time though, you’ll find me absorbed in music, jamming on my guitar, dabbling with a bit of keyboard or occasionally even making some noise with a banjo. According to Spotify, I have the music taste of a 74 year old.
